The Jagged Edge Archive

Wow!  It's hard to believe that we have finished a full 4th year in our broadcast space.  It has been a very rewarding year with what this group has accomplished.  There have been a number of awards that have come our way. The state fair trip provided some great stories and the students were even the only high school team to interview the Governor of Kansas.  As with every year, this year's graduating seniors leave a great legacy and will be greatly missed.  They even were kind enough to surprise me live on air with a new classroom fish "Commander-Z" to replace the dearly departed "Bytes".

Year 3 in the new space is in the books!  Although the "new" room isn't really new anymore, it's more of a home.  Traditions abound such as our Senior Bricks and many travel tales.  2015-16 was another enjoyable and successful year here at Jagged Edge with many references to Star Wars.  Of course there is also the tale of doing a live show even though no one actually saw us live that day.  And yes, "Bites" the fish is still around and appeared in many shows.

Year 2 in the new space is in the books!  A few more awards have been added to the mix with some talented story telling.  This year saw the arrival of our new broadcast mascot "Bites" the fish ( in soundbites).  He made an appearance in every one of our LIVE shows second semester.  And with a large number of seniors on the crew this year it was sad to see them go when they graduated in May.

Our seniors, as with every year, will be greatly missed.  Check out the stories from 2014-15.

Please enjoy a few of the stories that were produced in the 2013-2014 school year.  This was a special year as it was the first year in the new broadcasting room and our new website.  There was construction all summer long to prepare a new space for a much needed upgrade to the classroom and studio space.  It was also a time for new competitions as a group finished 3rd at the Kansas State Fair Broadcasting Contest.
